Canine Distemper Virus
Canine distemper virus (CDV) is an acute and usually fatal febrile disease. Its respiratory and central nervous system symptoms are most common in ferrets. Canidae (such as dog, dingo, fox, coyote, wolf, jackal), mustelidae (such as weasel, ferret, mink, skunk, badger, ferret, mink, otter), pufferfish (such as, kinkajou) , Raccoons, bassariscus, raccoons, red pandas) may die from CDV infection. Big cats, marine mammals and javelins have also been found to be susceptible to CDV infection and disease.
