Description
Canine Parvo-Distemper Virus Antibody Rapid Test (CPV CDV Ab)
Catalog No.: JCA029D
¤ INTENDED USE
The Canine Parvo-Distemper Virus Antibody Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the semi-quantitative detection of Canine Parvo Antibody (CPV Ab) and Distemper Virus Antibody (CDV Ab) in dog’s serum or plasma.
Assay Time: 10 minutes
Specimen: Serum or plasma.
¤ PRINCIPLE
The Canine Parvo-Distemper Virus Antibody Rapid Test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay.
¤ REAGENTS AND MATERIALS
- Test devices, with disposable droppers
- Assay buffer
- Cotton swabs
- Products Manual
¤ STORAGE AND STABILITY
The kit can be stored at room temperature (4-30°C). The test kit is stable through the expiration date (24 months) marked on the package label. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.
¤ TEST PROCEDURE
- Allow all materials, including specimen and test device, recover to 15-25℃ before running the assay.
- Take out the test device from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
- Drop 3 drops of the serum or plasma specimen into the sample hole “S” of the test device.
- Interpret the result in 10 minutes. Result after 15 minutes is considered as invalid.

¤ INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
The presence of “C” line indicates a valid result. Read the result by comparing the color intensity of the “T” line with the standard color reference scale (from “G1” to “G6”).
- Positive (+): The presence of both “C” line and zone “T” line. T line at G3 is considered as standard positive. T line < G3, is weak positive and indicates low CDV or CDV antibody level. T line around G4-G5, is strong positive. T line > G6, is very strong positive, indicates a contact with virus recently or in infection.
- Negative (-): Clear C line appears. No T line, or T line is weaker than G1. It indicates very low CDV or CDV titer. Failed immunization may happen.
- Invalid: No colored line appears in C zone.
¤ PRECAUTIONS
- All reagents must be at room temperature before running the assay.
- Do not remove test cassette from its pouch until immediately before use.
- Do not use the test beyond its expiration date.
- The components in this kit have been quality control tested as standard batch unit. Do not mix components from different lot numbers.
- All specimens are of potential infection. It must be strictly treated according to the rules and regulations by local states.
¤ LIMITATION
The Canine Parvo-Distemper Virus Antibody Rapid Test is for in vitro veterinary diagnosis use only. All result should be considered with other clinical information available with veterinarian.
